Jennifer Sellers

Dr. Sellers is a provisionally licensed psychologist (supervised by Dr. Dawna Campbell, Licensed Psychologist) with over 15 years of experience as an LPC-S supporting individuals, families, and professionals navigating life’s most challenging moments. Her approach is deeply rooted in psychodynamic theory, offering a thoughtful and insight-oriented space, while also incorporating evidence-based practices tailored to your specific needs—whether you're working through trauma, anxiety, depression, or stress-related conditions.

Dr. Sellers earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2005, followed by a Master’s degree in Counseling and Human Development from Hardin-Simmons University in 2009. Most recently, she completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Forensic Psychology from Walden University in 2024.

Throughout her career, Dr. Sellers has worked across a variety of settings, including private practice, government agencies, and non-profit organizations. Her formal clinical training includes a doctoral internship with the Dallas County Juvenile Department and a postdoctoral fellowship combining clinical hours from Mexia State Supported Living Center, the Dallas County Juvenile Department, and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department.

Dr. Sellers specializes in working with adults and adolescents who are experiencing symptoms of PTSD, complex trauma, and other trauma-related disorders. She also has experience treating anxiety, depression, and stress-related conditions, and working with children, adolescents, and adults on the autism spectrum. She values supporting families and caregivers as they navigate these complex and often misunderstood challenges.

Much of Dr. Sellers work has focused on serving those in high-stakes and high-impact professions. She has worked extensively with police officers, veterans, firefighters, and their families—supporting them in individual therapy and addressing marriage and family concerns unique to these demanding roles. Dr. Sellers also offers affirming and informed care for individuals in the LGBTQ+ community as they navigate identity, life transitions, and mental health concerns specific to their lived experiences.

Dr. Sellers is trained in several trauma-focused modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatic Experiencing, the Flash Technique, Progressive Counting, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). These tools help tailor treatment to meet your individual needs in a way that supports deep healing and lasting change.

Whether you're facing personal challenges, navigating complex relationships, or experiencing the effects of trauma, Dr. Sellers is here to help you move forward with strength and clarity.
