About Heather Roane

Heather Roane is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, supervised by Dr. Jennifer Baggerly, PhD, LPC-S, RPT-S. Heather holds a Master’s of Science (M.S.) degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas at Dallas in Dallas, Texas and Bachelor’s of Science (B.S.) in Psychology from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Heather is a dedicated mental health professional focused on providing a safe, nonjudgmental, genuine, empathetic environment to allow individuals to explore their emotions and thoughts, life stressors, enhance self-awareness, and foster personal growth. She has experience counseling individuals through the life span, that navigate from a variety of challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem, cultural identity issues, familial issues, and adjustments to life transitions. Heather further has experience using
Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) with children ages 3 to 12 that recognizes the power of play to help children express their feelings, build resilience, and develop healthy coping skills. Heather believes that healing and growth are possible at any age, regardless of life’s challenges. She tailors her approach to each individual’s unique needs, honoring diverse perspectives and cultural backgrounds. Through a supportive and empowering therapeutic process, she helps clients build resilience and create meaningful, lasting change.
