Getting Mental Health Care Shouldn't Be the Hard Part

When you are ready to ask for help, long waits, confusing insurance requirements, and uncertainty about where to start can make the next step feel even harder.

Access+ is Compassionate Psychiatric Services' commitment to making mental health care easier to start, easier to afford, and easier to continue. It includes timely appointments, broad insurance participation, flexible scheduling, statewide telehealth, and access to psychiatry, therapy, testing, and advanced treatments through one connected practice.

But Access+ means more than getting an appointment. It means gaining access to a thorough evaluation, a broader team of mental health professionals, and a range of treatment paths that can evolve as your needs change.
Compassionate Psychiatric Services (CPS) is currently accepting new patients, and most new patients can be seen within a week.
Access to Care Sooner

Long wait times are one of the biggest barriers to mental health care. At CPS, most new patients are seen within a week of reaching out. Whether you are looking for psychiatric care, therapy, or both, our team works to connect you with an appropriate starting point as quickly as possible.

Evening and Saturday Appointments

Work, school, and family schedules do not always leave room for a midday appointment. CPS offers evening and Saturday availability so you can prioritize your mental health without completely rearranging your life.

Telehealth Across Texas

If you cannot make it to an office, telehealth appointments are available for patients across Texas. You can meet with a CPS provider from home while receiving the same thoughtful, personalized approach to care.

Access to Care You Can Afford

CPS accepts more than 60 insurance plans. Our team can verify your benefits before your first appointment and help you better understand your expected coverage and costs.

If your plan is not accepted, competitive private-pay rates are available. CPS also accepts CareCredit, and payment arrangements may be available when appropriate.

Access to the Right Starting Point

You do not need to know exactly which provider, service, or treatment you need before contacting our team. Many people begin care with overlapping symptoms, an uncertain diagnosis, or questions about why previous treatment did not help enough.
During your first appointments, we’ll take time to understand your concerns, review your history, and help determine which services and treatment options may be the best fit. Depending on your needs, care may begin with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, therapy, medication management, testing, or another specialized service.

A More Complete Understanding of Your Needs

A comprehensive evaluation looks beyond a single symptom or diagnosis. Your provider may consider your current concerns, mental and medical history, previous diagnoses and treatments, medication experiences, family or trauma history, school or work demands, lifestyle factors, and your goals for care.

When appropriate, additional testing or input from other members of the CPS team may help clarify the full picture and inform a more individualized care plan.

Access to More Than One Path Forward

Mental health care rarely follows one fixed path. You may begin with therapy and later benefit from medication support. Medication may improve stability enough for therapy to become more productive. Additional testing may help clarify a diagnosis, or an advanced treatment may become appropriate when traditional options have not provided enough relief.

At CPS, you are not limited to the services or perspective of a single provider. Psychiatric providers, therapists, testing services, and advanced-treatment teams can contribute different clinical perspectives to help your care team understand your symptoms, treatment history, preferences, and goals.

Your care plan may include therapy, medication management, psychiatric testing, lifestyle support, or advanced treatments when appropriate. As your needs change, your treatment plan can change with you.

This connected approach means you do not have to start over every time your care takes a different direction. Your team can monitor progress, share relevant information, and help you explore the next appropriate option.

One Connected Practice, More Ways to Help

Having several services available is only valuable when they work together.

At CPS, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, therapy, testing, TMS, Spravato, pharmacogenomic testing, and other specialized services are available through one connected practice. Service availability may vary by location, but our team can help connect you with the appropriate office, provider, or treatment program.

Rather than receiving isolated recommendations from providers who may not know your full history, your care can be informed by a broader team and organized around one individualized plan.

That can mean:

  • A more complete understanding of your symptoms and treatment history
  • Fewer disconnected referrals
  • Less need to repeat your story
  • Access to additional options when the first approach is not enough>
  • Ongoing care that adapts as your needs and goals change
  • Support for symptom improvement, daily functioning, and long-term stability

Not every patient needs every service. Access+ means having the right options available when they may help.
