Mary Molly

Dr. Mary (Molly) McAshan is a Licensed Psychologist who received her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, and her Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University in Evanston.

She completed her doctoral internship with The Applied Psychology Group of Texoma, and Children’s Advocacy Center of Grayson County. Dr. McAshan works with adolescents and adults from a broad range of cultural backgrounds.

She specializes in working with social anxiety, PTSD, OCD, eating disorders, and postpartum mood disorders. In addition, Dr. McAshan conducts therapy with couples and families.

She has worked in several settings including medical hospitals, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, and private practice. Dr. McAshan integrates elements of cognitive behavior therapy, emotion-focused therapy and dialectical behavior therapy to provide treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of her clients.
