Sarah Garcia is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Sarah’s special interests include psychotic disorders, mood disorders, disruptive/impulse-control/conduct disorders, and the pediatric population. Sarah dedicated 15 years to the hospital setting, where she provided comprehensive care to patients battling various illnesses. After earning a Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington, she advanced her nursing career, specializing in the delivery of evidence-based medication management and psychotherapeutic interventions for children, adults, and the elderly facing mental health illnesses. Sarah learned how to treat complex mental illnesses and substance abuse at a public hospital that specializes in treating adults under court order. Her knowledge of pediatric, adult, and geriatric psychiatry expanded at non-profit mental health organizations and private practice clinics.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Sarah enjoys cooking, traveling, practicing self-care, and spending time with her three beloved cats.
